dead lines

going on a ten-day vacation one week before a work-imposed deadline is never a good situation, but after two eighty-hour work weeks, i am back in the saddle [no! not that saddle, dammit!] i can honestly say that there soon [okay, in eighteen months!] will be a new, hip, urban neighbourhood within austin city limits. to celebrate i traveled to the far northern reaches of dfw to do some light shopping at the brand-spanking new ikea. wow, what a disaster! try thirty-thousand visitors, traffic backed up for miles in all directions and triple-digit heat. all for flat-packed furniture. that's a statement for the sad state of good design in dallas-fort worth. i'm doing my part to bring better design, but this red-state is really resistant, like a bad virus.

and now, being completely exhausted from dead lines and long lines, i need some good, throw-down, sweaty man-on-man sex....anyone?!
