just like that, another long holiday weekend is over. it started off playing catch-up since my flight left dallas almost four hours late. which meant i got into new york late, which meant dinner with him was late, which meant afterwards we'd arrive at the gay blogger shindig that he organised late. dammit! oh well, i was going to be away from home six days, so what's my rush?
it was great seeing some of new york's finest, that's for sure, however short the visit was. the next morning we began a long and circuitous route gallavanting through the hudson valley into new england to attend a birthday party in a quaint new hampshire village.
to make a long weekend story short i will say that it included, in chronological order: the c.i.a. [closed!], hot furry italian waiters [not wearing a stitch of underwear!], a wine tasting [with a hot groom!], cocktails amongst the trees, talk of barbecue [kansas city barbecue vs. carolina barbecue!] and t-back panties, a big country breakfast, covered bridges, an artist's estate, beer, ice cream, more ice cream, a pish-posh dinner with beautiful people, monsoon rains, driving, connecticutt [boring!], dinner with a nice group of friendly men, walking across the brooklyn bridge [twice!] ,lunch the next day with the champ of nice boxers [too brief!], the brooklyn museum [closed!], park slope, and a broadway show. whew! where did the time go?!
