even though i have been working at least as much as one of kathy lee gifford's asian children [if not more, if that's possible] i did take a couple of hours yesterday to go sofa shopping. since e, the ex, and i divorced i've been couch-less in my new abobe, and frankly, i was afraid of buying a sofa. it's a huge commitment to buy a sofa, a long-term relationship even. and i wasn't ready for that again. until this weekend.
i found a nice contemporay chenille number in a consignment shop and brought it home. she's a little bigger than what i needed or wanted, but it was cheap and easy. what's even better, is that i don't feel one smidge of commitment to the sofa. should a better one come along, this bitch will be back on the street like a new jersey hooker.
two more decisions i've made in the past week:
i am going to the gb| holy trinity gathering in new york the beginning of june; and
the display windows at the neiman-marcus flagship store are always just dreadful. please...white spray painted apples surrounding a mannequin with white pedal-pushers, a white peasant blouse and white cork-heeled pumps. um, lindsey wagner called and asked for her outfit back. white is not the new black!

Oh I'm SO happy that you're going! We'll have so much fun. Let me know if you want to share hotel cost or need one for yourself for gettin' busy. ;)
Getting a new sofa is a good thing. Think of it as "retail therapy." Not that I'm saying you need therapy but spending money always makes me feel good.
Hyvää juttu että olet tulossa tänne!
