the end is near...

i'm certain that nastrodamus is credited with predicting that should anyone ever into the kingdom of ikea and leave the kingdom with empty hands, that the end of the world is near. only he probably said it more riddle-like.

anyway my friends, prepare yourselves for the end. blame me, it's all my fault.

there were warning signs of course announcing the end: the garage chute in my building got jammed with a box and filled up all eight floors; the wind has been howling all day, last night was a full moon, and the vice-president, being the former secretary of the defence department, and "hunting" without a license "accidentally" shot someone in the face, neck, breast, chest, and head. i say give him an mri to get the buckshot, sorry, er, "birdshot" out.

in the background::it's the end of the world as we know it:r.e.m.

You're walking a thin line, mister. If the gay police find out you left that Ikea empty-handed you'll be getting the beating you've been talking about.

The last time I walked into an Ikea store it cost me $3000 to get out.

Oh, and by the way, you're correct. Nostradamus predicted in Quatrain 69:

C'est le fin du monde, on croit,
merci au Guillaume Ouest certain
Qui est parti du royaume suédois
après de n'avoir acheté rien.

I believe the end of the world is here
Thanks to a certain James West
Who left the Swedish kingdom
Without buying a thing.

(I'm sure my French is terrible, but at least it rhymes.)
