when did most athletes stop wearing jock straps and start wearing those girdles under their uniforms? did they think that, wearing white pants and playing in the rain, we wouldn't see them? they've all been to wet t-shirt/ underwear contests before, right?. call me a stodgy, old, traditionalist, but i still wear a jock to the gym, as well as most nights when i go to the eagle, and for various other functions when i need to feel especially close to my jeans. am i in the minority? do most gay men, who, more than most others, can appreciate the look of a man's ass in a jock strap, just wear their undies to the gym, or to play field hockey or skeet shooting? if only the entire game was played in a jock strap. and shoes. that would be a dream come true. well, for the record, those girdles ruined the superbowl viewing for me.
as a side note, at least one other man at tonight's super bowl party confirmed what i have always believed: jock straps are not to be laundered except under extreme and rare occasions. it would be comparable to washing your cast iron skillet with steel wool. at least someone is still sane and rational.

I wear one occasionally, but not usually while working out.
I had no idea about not washing. I know you shouldn't put them in the dryer.
