the passing of our dear friend ann richards dimmed the starry skies over texas tonight. she will surely be missed for her humour, her smile, and her attitude that nothing is bigger than the human spirit. not even texas.
ann will always live on in each one of us. she will always be the symbol of the new, real texas that she helped to forge, where everyone is equal and deserving. but tonight, it's sadness deep in the heart of texas.
