i came home from work this evening and a film crew was setting up in the lobby of our building. when i came home from the gym, there was full on [bad!] acting going on. the only lines i caught from when i went to and from the market in the building were:
boy with snaggled teeth and a hideous cardigan: can i come in? let me in!
girl with tight pedal-pushers and non-matching purse: no. [uncomfortably long pause]. go away. i'll...i'll call the police. i've got mace!
and they kept filming as i got into the elevator.
first an acting lesson if i may: no one calls them police in dallas. they are cops!
second: i'm sure it's some sort of after-school special. or at least that's what it reminded me of. dallas seems to be ripe for after-school specials. at least since 'walker, texas ranger' ended.
well, then there's 'cops.'
so if you're into watching after-school specials, well, when school starts again, look for me. i was weaering a white 'hämeenlinna finland' [don't ask.] t-shirt. i could use some groupies...and now it's only a matter of time before tiger beat wants an interview.
the kids do still read tiger beat, don't they?

I thought it was called "Teen Beat"
A reference to Tiger Beat definitely indicates a certain, um, age, as the previously commenting youngster did not recognize it. Oh my God, Bobby Sherman is so dreamy!!!!!
How many pages did I rip from Tiger Beat and post on my walls? Too many to count!
