g b | n y c - three plus fourteen

i celebrated another anniversary on thursday. fourteen years. who could've thought i'd be here this far down the road, and this many years later? and this year i decided to celebrate by attending gb | nyc.
even though i am already back home, it was a great weekend, however brief. i was able to reconnect with dear friends, meet some friends in person for the first time, and hopefully make some new friends, too. it truly was an invasion of gotham. and of course, chaos ensued.

the chaos was not necessarily the loads of hunky gay [and one lady, you know who you are!] bloggers. the first sign of chaos appeared in the form of rain drops. lots of them. enough to shut down two subway lines causing gridlock everywhere. it took me over five hours to travel from newark airport to washington heights. mind you it only took three and a half hours to fly from dallas. i missed the most of the first night's festivities. i was really counting on being able to see these lads on friday but alas it had to wait until saturday. i blame the rain. again. but i still had a great time. side note: due to inexplicable phenomena, mak is actually taller [still just as sexy though!] than he appears in bloggerdom. curiouser and curiouser.

saturday morning i met up with zeitzeuge and the frau zeitzeuge, glennalicious and his man, d licious, and the tree guy in harlem for brunch. i ventured downtown to pay homage to the wtc [in my head i lit a prayer candle for a speedy resolution to the design and contruction woes going on there]. oh, and i did some shopping. new apple store on fifth avenue is very pissy. and rightly so. my one mission that i did not fulfill was to find a swish new man-purse. but, what better reason to go back.

hugo, kayo and i met up for dinner before seeing a premiere at a little theatre just off broadway. we had second row seats were interviewed by papparazzi. have i mentioned that this guy was totally checking me our while i took a piss in the bathroom at the theatre. i glanced over my right shoulder as i stood at the urinal, and there he was, in his black velvet and red cape glory. spooked the hell out of me. i always knew this fisherman crap is an act. he didn't speak, in tongues or otherwise, he just kept staring. i might have accidentally peed on his robe a little. and i might be wrong, but i think he liked it.

hugo and i met a several other great guys for brunch this morning before i hopped back on my bike and peddaled home. aren't they hot?!

It was really great seeing you, and brunch was fun. Get your butt back here so we can hang out again. More pics are also at Jeff's site www.cynicallyoptimistic.com of you, us, and them.

Ah, I had an odd feeling of being cruised while in the theater restroom, but mostly I thought of how many health code violations could be found in that restroom.

You are far sexier than I could ever aspire to be. You may measure my height any time.

You know what I said on my blog about having a new blog crush...?

I'm just sayin'.
