e and i officially kicked off our training for spain two thousand five yesterday. the weather here was high eighties, sunny and all around gorgeous. except for the wind was blowing like a hurricane out around the lake, which did nothing for my hair. not a bad first day of training:: twenty-five miles. i commented that this season i really want to be well over a hundred-a-day before we head to spain since we were up to eighty-a-day before we rode provence and were still sucking wind, so we have to best that.
apart from the bike training, we also went to gloria's last night for some salsa and merengue dancing. our friend j, the teacher [hottie!], and his girlfriend a, the dental hygienist took us. j insisted on giving e and i lessons when we first got there.
judging by the looks the other [hetero] men in the joint were giving us, you'd think that a hetero man teaching his queer guy friends how to dance was an affront to their very latino-ness. for crying out loud e is puerto rican. give a gay guy and his whitey boyfriend a break.
needless to say e and i both came out of there knowing a little bit more of how to dance to latin music, and each of us compiled a top-ten list of the men we'd choose to bring home with us. after that we took j and a down to kaliente for some queer latinoness.
we swapped top-ten lists when we finally made it home at two this morning.
