finding religion

the big gay bike trip was a pilgrimage of sorts for me. not for any religious purposes or to find any higher calling of a spiritual nature, but more to gain inner peace with myself and do some inner-healing. i needed to get rid of some baggage [lest i pay over-weight luggage charges for it!] and to find some answers. along the route of my own private pilgrimage, i was witness to the standing symbols of the unshakable faith that some men feel for a god [not one god in particular].

among the most amazing was el mezquita, in córdoba:

i'll look forward to seeing more pics of your trip & the bike ride .. you should upload 'em to a flickr account. it's easily the best photo site on the web.

I love Moorish Spain and Barcelona. No matter how you feel about religion, the Mezquita and Sagrada Familia are awesome. I haven't been to Spain since I studied there in '83. It's a good place to reflect.
